Endeavour Foundation

Research about the Endeavour Foundation to have an understanding of who I am designing for.

NDVR: Endeavour Foundation Logo

Endeavour Foundation started in 1951 with the vision to help and support, by starting with equal access to education and life learning skills for those who have intellectual disabilities.

They support those to live, learn, work and grow with following their interests. Helping them gain new skills, live independently, socialising to make new friends and even finding new jobs. They turn their dreams into possibilities.

The Endeavour foundation takes the time to understand those who have intellectually disabled learning their routines, lifestyle and what is important to them. They help to develop their goals for life, work and personally.

Foundation Aims:

Purpose

“To make possibilities a reality. At Endeavour Foundation, were dedicated to helping people with disability to live fulfilling lives, working together to turn possibilities into reality for each individual”

Values

“Our values are an integral part of how we represent ourselves to our customers. We share and live these values, which convey a genuine, trustworthy and honest face of our organisation."

Mission

“We partner with people to aspire for more. We believe in ability and understand that everyone is different. Well work with our customers to make the most of their individual skills and interests – whether that’s developing life skills, trying a new activity, work or learning”

Role

“… making every customer’s possibilities a reality. We provide services for those who need support in home and daily life, learning, work, social and community participation, or relationships and independence.”

Services

“The Learning and Lifestyle services follow a person-centred support model and help you develop your independence, confidence, self-esteem and social interaction skills.”

“Our sites are fitted with large, fully equipped kitchens, outdoor areas, recreational spaces and quiet areas.”

The services that NDVR provides needs to be considered for the design process of the project. It is useless designing a space that is not compatible with the services provided.
